Join CET, NYS DEC, and James McSweeney of Compost Technical Services and The 131° School of Composting for an informative compost site operator workshop series in New York State. The workshop series will focus on best practices for compost sites that incorporate food scraps at the community scale. Here are the workshops that will be held in Spring 2026:
- Schenectady/Schenectady Community Compost Project, Fehr Avenue Farm – March 30th, 2026
- East Hampton/East Hampton Transfer Station – April 1st, 2026
Each registrant will participate in a virtual lesson taught by James McSweeney followed by a half-day field session at your choice of local community-scale compost site. Lunch will be provided. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from CET with more information.
Priority registration will be given to composters based in New York. If the workshop you wish to register for is full, you will be placed on our waitlist and notified if any spots become available.
